It is necessary for medical purposes because it could make people recover from sickness or make them immune to a disease. But not for cosmetics because that does nothing to help people.

I don't think it is necessary to test on animals on whether cosmetics or medical purposes. The result may come out differently because animals and human have different types of DNA. The result that came out from animals might not be the same outcome for human.

I think that is necessary for the medical purposes. It would help people out and used as a cure. However, not for cosmetica cause anmials shouldnt be used for that and it doesnt help us at all.

I feel that testing animals for cosmetic purposes that could not make a direct positive medical impact on a person is not only unnecessary, but also immoral. There is no written rule saying that humans are any better than any other animal on this planet. How would you like to be the test subject for some other species and have no idea what effect it may have on you.

I feel that it is necessary to test on animals for medical pruposes only. I feel this way because it could have a positive effect on people and willn= possible help others get better. I don't think that it is right to test on animals for cosmetic purposes because it doesn't help people

Yes, especially for medical purposes. We need to find new cures because in some cases people become immune to certain medications and need stronger substances. Furthermore, testing substances for cosmetic purposes is necessary because their are many accidents and mistakes during cosmetic procedures anually in which can either kill or put people in critical condition. To test these procedures first on animals would be wise.

Lina Chic said...

Yes, we need new cures and need to test these procedures of cosmetic surgeries before making mistakes on people .

I feel we should not test cosmetics on animals because they dont have a real point exept they harm the animals. it is difficult to say if they should or should not test animals for medical purposes because it's for a good reason-peoples health-but can still harm the animals in negative ways. i guess if we do use animals for testing for medical purposes we should try not to use as many animals. it is still wrong and we shouldnt be using animals like that because there living creatures too, and arent meant to be in experiments such as these.

Yes it is necessary to test on animals for medical purposes, this is because it can help save peoples lives. it is not necessary to use animals to test cosmetics because that cant have a real affect on people.

I feel that it is only necessary to test on animals for medical purposes only. This will enable people such as doctors to help create cures for people who are sick or have a life threatening disease. But I also think it is unnecessary to test on animals for cosmetics because this does not help humans in any way.

i think it is unfair to test on animals no matter what the purpose is. testing on them may benefit us as humans but it is unfair to the animals. they're all innocent living creatures like all of us, and they should have the same chance of life just as humans and other animals do. also, i would like to point out, you mentioned cosmetics reasons they would be testing on the animals. i can sort of understand if it is for other important life and death medical situations, but cosmetic reasons i think are unecessary. especially experimenting on animals for cosmetic reasons, i believe is very unfair towards them. they never did anything to us, why should we do something to them?

It is necessary that humans must not test cosmetic products on animal life. By doing this, they can cause serious damage to animal life in the society. It can also cause the animal to look ugly. if the tested animal appears to have a disformitity, then when it reproduces, the child of that animal mwy look like that. Another thing is that humans would be wasting their time because it wouldn't affect the humans by putting cosmetics on animals. they are two different species.

Unknown said...

I think it is nescessary to test animals for medical purposes but not cosmetics because cosmetics are not Essential to us. By testing animals for medical reasons though helps us get valuable information to help cure or prevent sickness.

it is only ok if it is for medical purposes only it isnot okay for anything else.

No, feel we should have to find another way to do it, because animals do not deserve to be put in danger if the product doesn't work. Scientists may be looking out for humans, but some animals are endangered and risking their lives is pretty bad too. No animal or person reacts the same way to another human or animal, which means that they could test it on many animals, but the outcome on humans would be totally different.

No I dont think it is right because animals can get hurt or even killed during the proccess. They dont have a say in what is done, but they are still living things that breath and eat and drink and they don't deserve the tourcher of being tested on. It is cruel to animals.Even if it is used for the purpose of medical, the results may be different for the dogs beacuse they have different immune systems and they have different functions. So they might not respond the same ways a human would. All in all it is unsafe and cruel as well as not completley acurate.

Unknown said...

I think animal testing is is necessary for medical purposes only.

I think animal testing is wrong, because the animal didn't choose to do the testing, neither is the testing done for them. They should test the product or medical purpose on humans, which it will be used for. You can get human volenteers. not random animals on the street.

i think it is nessary to test cosmetics for medical and safety reasons. but they should not be tested on animals. animals are living things and should not be harmed. scientists should learn how to test cosmetics a different way with out using animals.

Unknown said...

No I do not think animals should be test subjects. If a cosmetic item is being made should not be dangerous enough that it is unsafe to test on people, who are going to be using the item when it's on the market. However when researching for vaccines and medical needs the side effects and other knowledge about the item must be known before exposing the product to the public.

Yes, i think it's necessary to test on animals for medical purposes. New medical treatments can either help a patient or extremely hurt them, so it is better to be safe than sorry. Medical products should be tested on animals prior to being given to human patients. Cosmetics on the other hand, are a not a necessary item to be tested on animals. They are not a contributing factor to the health of humans.

I believe that it is necessary to test on animals for medical purpose. Even though testing on animals may seem unethical, sacrifices are necessary to insure the safety of other species of animals and humans from a certain disease. Besides, testing on a small number of animals will not cause a drastic decrease in their population. However, testing cosmetics is a whole different story. Cosmetics aren't necessary in order to live.

I feel like it is necessary to test on animals for certain sicknesses that are fatal or can effect someone greatly but not for cosmetic purposes.

It is not necessary because the affects could be different on animals then humans, so then they are just causing problems.

I think it is necessary to test on animals to help create medicine and to help keep humans healthy. I don't think animal should be used for cosmetic purposes because cosmetics are not a necessity.

I don't believe that we should use animals to test cosmetics. It isn't worth putting the animals through all those test. I think animals are a little bit more then cosmetics if i must say so myself

WELL YEA I TINK IT IS NECESSARY BECAUSE ENDANGERING THE LIFE OF A HUMAN FOR A PRODUCT THAT IS STILL NOT PROVEN SAFE..THERE ARE MORE ANIMALS IN THE WORLD SUCH AS MICE WICH IT DOESNT REALLY MATTER TO TEST THE PRODUCT ON THEM BECUASE THERE ARE ALOT OF THEM OUT THERE

i dont think its necessary to test animals for cosmetic purposes because it's unfair towards them. they're a living thing too & i think thats wrong. but if its for medical purposes i guess it's okay if your helping a human & as long as the animal doesn't have to suffer with pain.

I believe that it is necessary for medical reasons because it can help cure deadly diseases and because it may help us find and unknown cure for something. I don't believe in it for cosmetic purposes because people don't actually need cosmetics other than trying to make themselves feel and look good.

Unknown said...

I fell that testing on animals is okay as long as there not getting hurt.

Unknown said...

I am torn between my feelings because I do not beileve that cosmetis should be tested on animals or humans for that matter. Although I do think that if it is going to save peoples lives then I guess it's okay.

well eh honestly it dosent bother me not to sound mean but animals kinda like well are better ti be tested on then humans i dont think anyone would like to be a test thingy in medical or cosmetics

robbie said...

Not cosmetics bur medical purpose. this is because it could give scientists a better idea of what different medicines can have a positive impact on human illness or disease.

Sarah W. said...

I think it is necessary for medical purposes because it could help find a cure or vaccination for ilnesses that humans might have. For makeup I would say no because makeup is not nedeed to survive.

No, i do not think it is necessary to test cosmetic products on animals. This is because, some of these products could be harmful to the animals. I personally do not think that that is fair to the animals.

I do not think it is necessary to text medical or cosmetic products on animals because:
a) it is cruel to test on animals. They're lives are just as valuble as a human's life.
b) i dont think that the testing on animals would show the same result as if you were to test the products on humans. animals are biologically different. their DNA is different than ours.
