According to the US Census Bureau, the human population is around 6.8 billion. How do you think we can reduce our impact on the environment despite our massive population size? Do you feel the government should enforce population control policies (such as China's "One Child Policy")? Be sure to answer BOTH questions and support your responses - you may want to take a break from facebook and do a little research here! :)

one way we can reduce our impact on the environment is to recycle and find alternative fuels. i do not believe in the one child policy because its wrong to not allow parents a a child to keep there child.

we can reduce our impact on the earth by following the three R's, which are reduce, reuse & recycle. this will help lower the amount of waste that is caused by humans. no, i do not think that we should enforce the one child policy because that is wrong. parents should be the one's deciding how many children they have, not any other outside source.

One way we can reduce our impact on the earth is by recycling and not using as much fossil fuels. Also people could cut down on the amount of driving they do per day. Some alternatives to driving are walking or riding a bike. I do not believe however that the one child policy be enforced because the parents should be the ones deciding on how many kids they want to have. Other people should not have a say or influence on the parent's decision.

I think we can help improve the worlds population by starting with small things like recycling. The less waste, the less harm. I dont think that the one child policy should be enforced because it's wrong. A parent should have the choice as an individual to have as many children as he/she wants.

We can reduce our impact on teh enviroment by being aware of the harmful chemicals we are releasing and the amout of energy and space we are taking. Once aware we shoukd try to decrease and try to prevent the things we are doing. We shouldn't any population control polocies because in the past people have tried to control things but they got too out of hand. We don't need another problem in the US.

Since the population is up so high and our economic situation cannot afford or handle this much people, our govenment should look to have China's policy. I've heard sex is great but that doesnt mean everytime someone has it, they need to create a child. Birth control pills and condoms can be extremely useful in a situation like this today. We can reduce it by using condoms and birth contol pills.

Way we can reduce the impact humans have on the enviorment is many ways. One thing we can definitely try to work on is to not make as much polution. air pollution is a little hard because everyone has cars. Though, water polution is an easy one humans can fix by not litering and things such as that. Humans can also recycle! That always is good for the enviorment (: I believe that the government shouldn't control the child number rule. it isn't fair for them to take away children from their parents. I also think its unatural to have a limit of how many children you are allowed to have.

One way we can reduce our impact on the environment is by limiting the amount of emissions from cars and by not polluting the water. I think they should because with policy, the worlds birth rate will slow down and meet up with the death rate and we will have almost a fixed number of humans.

We can reduce our impact on the environment by recylcing and not dumping toxic wastes in bodies of water or anywhere for that matter. We could also stop using up all of our fuels because some of them may be limited. I don't think that we should enforce the "One child policy" this is because, people should be able to be free and have as many children as they like. But i do think that they should be able to provide the proper necessities for their children.

We could build more apartments instead of homes because they take up less space. Another way to reduce our impact is to recycle and take faster showers so less water is wasted. I think population control policies are not good. I think hanging posters reminding people that they have to pay for the child is a better idea.

one way we can reduce human impact on the environment is by driving in our cars lesss or carpooling with friends. I don't believe families should be reduced to one child per family but I do not think there should be anymore octo moms either. Possibly we could encorage people to have no more than three children, but still leaving them the choice of how many children they want to have.

We can reduce our impact on our environments by reducing reusing and recycling . This would help because it a great way to turn someone's waste to something we can use. this will lower the amount of waste that we have in a environment . I think that it is a good thing to reinforce the 1 baby plan in overcrowded places because if the people there can afford or don't have the right materials for a baby to survive they shouldn't have them. it would even the birth rate and the death rate out so it can benefit the world.

We can reduce the impact humans have on the enviorment by not littering because if everyone litters its going to build up & cause a big problem. We can also recycle & help the earth. I think the one child rule is a good rule so we don't get over populated, but i also think we should have a say in how many children we have because it won't be fair to some people.

We can reduce our impact on the environment by recycling, and not using as many resources as we do now.
I don't support the one child policy because I think that parents should be able to have as many children as they want and they should be making the decisions of their life, and not other people making it for them.

first the things that we get from the tropical rainforest we can and try and make our own so we won't have to cut down the rainforest. Also try and find alternate things that won't involve pollution or cutting down the rainforest. Since we may make more factories to supply humans the human race with necessary things we should invent factories that don't pollute as much. Or we can find alternate ways to get the items.

We can reduce our impact by not polluting river and oceans and recycle.

As for the child policy i don't think it should be mandatory but suggested by the government

I think one way reducing the impact on earth is by recycling. Because that will reduce the amount of waste that we created. And I don't believe in one child policy rule because people should be able to have more than one child if they wished. Because I was just wondering what if they had twins or triplets? It wouldn't be fair to split the siblings up... But I feel that the parents do need to consider about the expenses of having a second child.

It will be good because that can lower the amount of waste effecting us. if we dont, it can be harmfil and create bad substances. no, i dont think that we should enforce the one child policy. i think this because everyone has a right to decide how many kids they want to have. Its not the governments choice.

We can reduce our impact on the enviornment by recycling and finding ways to reduce pollution such as decreasing smokestacks and preventing people from dumping wastes into water. Also I dont beleive in using Chinas one child policy because i think its wrong for someone to limit how many kids they want to have. But at the same time i beleive we shouldnt have so many kids.

We can have a positive inpact in our environment by making it a law to recycle, and or change our type of fuels we use for differnet things. I dont agree with the " one child policy beacause it its inhuman and wrong, but we should try and enforce to limit our reproduction.

We can reduce our impact on environment by recycling all products that can be recycled, and also use the other two "Rs" which are reduce and reuse. I disagree with population control, such as China's "One Child Policy" because it is wrong to not let parents keep their children.

We can switch are cars to hybrid cars. We can recycle. We can safely deposit medical waist.People can use protection and take birth control to lower the population.

Yes we can reduce our impact on the environment by promoting awareness of the issues present and creating better education for young people in order to create a more aware generation. Population policies are effective and if needed they can make an impact on the population count, but i don't think strong law policies need to be enforced around the world.

I think that we can greatly reduce our negative impact on the environment in many ways. Not only by making fuel efficient cars, but by finding different way to power buildings or stores by recycling trash and "unusable" resources. I don't believe that the "One Child Policy" is a good idea because although more people make a bigger impact on the environment, more people also means having a large amount of people looking for ways to reduce our impact.

I feel we can help our envirorment even with a large population like ourselfs. all we need to do is the simple things.....
Like dont idle your car long
Conserve water and food
Do not waste energy in home appliances.
I think if everyone did this it would make a huge difference. Also, i do and dont think the government should make population control policies. this is because although it would be very helpful to the environment it is also bad because people dont have that freedom anymore. it is taking something huge away from them. dont having the right to have more then 1 child would definitely altar peoples thoughts and feelings
