A carbon footprint is the measurement of greenhouse gases caused by an individual, event, or product. Visit the following site: http://www.nature.org/initiatives/climatechange/calculator/
to calculate your personal carbon footprint (answer the questions to the best of your knowledge). Complete the following:

*Report your carbon footprint and identify three ways you can reduce this number.

*Why is it important to be aware of your personal carbon footprint? Explain.

*Please include your name at the end of your post.

14 tons of carbon dioxide per year.
-use ENERGYSTAR products
-unplug everything when not in use
-walk/bike instead of being driven

Because the Co2 emissions affect the ozone layer so that there are holes within it, causing global warming, it is important to be aware of my carbon footprint. Furthermore, heavy carbon emissions are harmful in a way people cannot inhabit with high concentrated surroundings.

11 tons of carbon dioxide per year
-reues plastic water bottles
-compost leftovers
-unplug things when they are not being used

It is important to be aware of your personal footprint because it allows people to see their impact on the earth. Also so they could make changes in their life to benifit the planet.

8.6 tons of CO2 per year
I can:
recycle paper and cans
walk instead of ride in a car
unplug items when not in use

it is important to be aware of your personal carbon footprint because you can see what you can do to reduce your own carbon dioxide output

My estimated greenhouse gas emissions are 8.9 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent per year.

To reduce my carbon footprint I could:
-Bike around instead of being driven around
-to cut my shower time in half using the hot water
-Finaly i can replace my old applainces with new energy efficient appliances

You should be aware because if u have a very high carbon footprint you should try to reduce your footprint.

9.1 tons of carbon per year
-Use energy efficient products
-Recycle as much as possible
-Take shorter showers with less hot water

It is important to know your carbon footprint because you need to control your levels of CO2 because it is affecting the world. Global warming is just one example of how we are affecting the whole planet.

My Estimated Emissions is 9.5 tons of sarbon diowide per year. Dont't use as much hot water, cleanup, recycle or clean up scraps, and unplug appliances when there not being used. Its important to to be aware of your footprint because then you may do stuff to lower your footprint.

My carbon footprint is 5.1 i could reduce it by leaving home or having another family member leave my home or we could move

It is important to know your carbon footprint because it can effect the environment in effects such as global warming

14 tons of carbon dioxide per year. i can reduce this by:
- unplugging items not being used at the time
- walk to close places, maybe instead of driving
- recycle and reuse

It is important to be aware of your own personal footprint because its making us aware of our impact on the earth. We can then make changed to try and help the planet. Then itll help lower your co2 level.

15 tons of carbon dioxide per year.
- Unplug my cell phone charger and other plugs when not in use.
- turn off the lights when not in the room.
- compost food scraps instead of throwing them out.

It is imporant to be aware of your carbon footprint basically because of simply saving the enviorment. It calculates what you are waisting and gives you the opportunity to fix what's going wrong in your everyday lifestyle. Too much carbon dioxide in the atmospere is not good for not only the enviorment surrounding us, but also us as humans! Knowing the your carbon dioxide leve truly helps the earth as a whole, becaus every little bit of effort counts.

My estimated greenhouse gas emissions are 7.8 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per year, which is below the U.S. national average.
- use very little electricity.
- lower the amount of time in the shower :(
- compost leftovers

Its important for me to be aware of my carbon footprint because the environment depends on us taking care of it. Chemical pollution off of cars, the amount of electricity being used, and the amount of food and water being wasted are some main points in destroying the world.

12 of carbon dioxide per year.
-unplug appliances not being used.
-compost left overs
-turn off lights when not being used.

its important to be aware of your carbon footprint because if you have a high one, you can reduce it, and it effects global warming.

-unplug appliances that are not being used
-turn off the lights when no one is in the room.

it is important to be aware o your carbon footprint because it helps you become aware of some changes you might need to make in you life to help the planet.

My estimated greenhouse gas emissions were 9.2 tons of carbon dioxide. This is below the U.S. average.

1. unplug everything electronic when it is not being used.
2. compost leftovers or waste products
3. Shorter showers with less hot water.

It is important to be aware of your personal carbon footprint. This is because we need to know the level of carbon dioxide that is surrounding us; so that we know how much of it we are breathing in. It is also important for people to know how they are effecting the ozone layer and global warming. If we know how much carbon dioxide we are emitting, we can save the ozone layer form depletion before it is completely gone.

- Unplug electronic when it is not being used.
- Recycle more

It is important to know about your personal footprint because you can see the damage your doing to the earth and then, change it. Also, it would make people aware of how they can save the enviorment by doing simpile things.

I could always:
-Turn off the lights when I'm not in the room
- car pool
- recycle paper and plastic

It is important to be aware of your own carbon footprint because it helps you to realize the impact your have on the planet. Since excess CO2 is the cause of global warming, we should take steps to reduce our own carbon footprint.

-Reuse plastic bottles
-Unplug items when not in use
-Shorter showers with less hot water

It's important to know your personal carbon footprint because then you know your impact on Earth and it will help you figure out how you can help the planet.

6.7 tons of carbon dioxide per year.
-I can install more efficient lighting
-I can compost my waste
-I can install a low-flow shower head

It is important to be aware of you carbon footprint so you can change the ways you live in order to lessen your Carbon emissions and benefit the earth. The reason you would want to lower the amount of your carbon footprint is because the Carbon emissions is causing the hole into the ozone layer to become bigger enhancing global warming.

My carbon footprint was 10 tons of carbon dioxide per year.
-use ENERGYSTAR products
-reuse materials so that things dont go to waste
-use alteratate uses of transportation other then driving.

It is important because the more carbon dioxide emissions that are in the air cause the green house gases which affect the ozone layer. Although people may not believe it, we all contribute in some way to this big environmental problem that is happening around the world. Everyone can make a difference if they reuse, reduce and recycle and use machines and vehicles wisely.

Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere affects the ozone layer. Depletion of the ozone layer causes global warming. When you understand the impact that you make, you take steps to improve3 your effects on the environment.

you can reduce your carbon footprint by walking places and not littering.
